Dave: Kind of a different one from a song structure perspective with the key shift for the lead all the way at the end. But I dig it. One of my favorite leads for me in this one.......single take!?! (whew!). I really like the story too!, paints a great picture of a self destructive personality unable to break the cycle, "but....hell". One of my favorite lines from this one.
Jason:
Probably my favorite from a mixing perspective. I love the vibe of this song. The haunting/spooky vibe was something I enjoyed pulling out of this recording.
Tim:
This is easily the most fun song to play. The drum grooves are so infectious I didn’t want it to end. The drums sound so big and full. My favorite part is the drumming under the guitar solo, where I drew on a bit of Black Sabbath and Dio for inspiration. It’s a full-on rocker, and everyone gave it their all to make this track shine. Jason and I held down the rhythm section while Dave and Jake worked their magic on guitar and vocals. We know you’ll enjoy this one as much as we do.
