Halfway
To
Nowhere

Way different feel for this one. I always thought of this as a travelling song, it has that feel I think. A few goofy chord voicings, some extended stuff but it still feels comfortable. A few little nylon string acoustic parts which was fun. I really enjoyed all of the texture parts, the little moments sprinkled over the tune. Jakes vocal nails it and I really love the bass line. This one really centers around the bass line. Enjoy!
Jason:
Great track. I love the bass line in this one. ( says the bassist... :) ). This songs moves really well and was a challenge for me but I really like where it ended up. Mixing and the production was fun on this one too. One of my favs....
Tim:
This song is a blast to play and flows so smoothly. It’s packed with musical energy—from Jason’s driving bass lines to Jake’s and Dave’s guitar rhythms, melodies, and perfectly placed chords. I laid down a solid beat with a brief solo, a few tom runs and added congas for extra flavor and texture.
Jake’s lyrics paint vivid pictures that capture the true meaning of the song; it’s always a pleasure to hear what he comes up with. Vocally Jake is the best and we are truly blessed to have such a great singer. We hope Halfway to Nowhere fires up your imagination—maybe a sunbaked desert or the feeling of being, well, halfway to nowhere. Stream it now and tell us what landscapes it conjures up for you!
Until next time, cheers! Timmy P.
